update: Blast from the past.
I was a sophomore in High School (there you know how old I am!).... and this infamous disposal of a whale- at about the same location.

We are working hard to restore a 104 year old, 6 bedroom Dutch Colonial home with a carriage house, koi pond and vast property transforming it into a picturesque and magical compound. Located 20 minutes north of Astoria and 4 miles from the mouth of the mighty Columbia River on the Pacific Ocean. My mom was just telling me about the whale in Heceta Head yesterday... that way certainly seems a bit more dignified, but far less disgusting fun than this route!
